Paradigm Shift in German Money Laundering Act: What it means for companies

With a recent change of the Money Laundering Act, Germany has tightened its grip around money laundering crimes – yet as a side effect, companies must adapt to new regulations. The German parliament passed a new law concerning the “transparency register and financial information” (Transparenzregister- und Finanzinformationsgesetz Geld-w?sche, TraFinG) that has come into force on August 1st, 2021.

We have exciting news to share: the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants has compiled the “Information on the Comprehensive Evaluation and Ranking of 100 Accounting Firms in 2020” according to the “Measures for the Comprehensive Evaluation and Ranking of Accounting Firms” (Huixie [2021] No. 22) on 16 . The results are delightful - out of over 9000 firms, ECOVIS Ruide Certified Accounting Firm Co., Ltd. was chosen as one of China's top 100 accounting firms in 2020 – receiving the 80th rank in the comprehensive evaluation.
